Dear...

Dear Self,

You should really learn to proofread before you post. I am highly disappointed in the fact that I have found 4 errors, just today, in previously published posts. You should be ashamed of yourself; you call yourself an educator and this is what you publish? Shame on you. You should apologize to your readers for your laziness.

Dear Readers,

It has been brought to my attention that I need to learn to proofread. I really do have some knowledge in the English language. However, I am not an English teacher and you can probably figure out why. I promise to try hard to proofread before pushing the button to publish my post. Readers, please don't leave me because you find my grammatically incorrect posts annoying. I'll do better; I pinky promise! Although, it would help if you could just read my mind and understand what I am trying to say :)

XOXO,
Michelle

Apple Hand Sanitizer

This is super simple, but totally cute.

I started with this apple shaped hand sanitizer

I typed up the following saying on my laptop using SCAL.

Using my Cricut, I cut out the letters on white contact paper.

I place them on the sanitizer.
Simple.
Easy.

I have mine on my desk at school.

Etched Mug

The bf claims to hate the Dollar Tree, but I think he secretly loves it.
I drag him in there whenever I see one. Usually, he doesn't leave my side, just drags his feet and grumbles asking if I'm ready to go yet. However, recently he has been going off and finding treasures of his own. When we were there last time he stole the shopping cart from me, and came back with all kinds of stuff in it. One of my proudest moments :)

On our latest trip, I showed him this big mug. He immediately asked if I could etch something on it.
Ok, I was just kidding before, THIS was my proudest moment!

So, anyway I bought the mug and etched it for him.
I gave it to him as a part of his Valentine's Day gift.

Etching is really easy.
I cut out the John Deere emblem using my Cricut; slathered on some etching creme and Wah-La.

Easy Peasy.

It looks weird in this picture. It was probably still wet from washing the etching creme off.
No worries, it looks normal in real life.

Tasty Tuesday #2: Bacon & Cheddar Waffles

Here's another super simple recipe. Sometimes I like to eat breakfast for supper. I've never really been a fan of waffles because they don't have much flavor and I don't really like syrup. Well, I came up with an idea to flavor them up a bit.

Bacon & Cheddar Waffles

Ingredients:
2 cups waffle mix
1 1/2 cups water
1/3 cup vegetable oil
8-12 strips of cooked bacon
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:
Mix waffle mix, water, and oil. Added cooked bacon and cheddar cheese. Let sit 5 minutes and then pour appropriate amount of mixture into waffle maker.

I also made some breakfast potatoes to go along with it.
My parents had over-easy eggs with theirs.
They also added butter and syrup to their waffles.

Here is my waffle. (Haha, I promise its under there.)
I topped my waffle with scrambled eggs and potatoes. And extra shredded cheese of course.
Obviously not a "healthy" meal, but very yummy :)

Chalkboard Scoreboard

The boyfriend and I like to keep score with everything that we do.

(Games, proving the other person wrong, bets ... basically everything.)

Now, usually when I earn a point, I just draw an imaginary tally mark in the air with my finger. However, I tend to score quite a bit of points and lose count :)

I decided to make a little scoreboard as a cute little joke.

I bought this little piece of wood for like a dollar.

I painted the edges red and then painted the front side with 2 coats of chalkboard paint.

After painting, I rubbed chalk all over the board. I read somewhere that you are suppose to do that before using it. I don't really know if its true or not... but I did it.

I super glued two pieces of ribbon to the back of the board. I then glued a piece of card stock to cover the back and hid my messy painting skills.

I tied it at the top to hang up.

Using my Cricut and SCAL, I typed up both of our names and 2 lines.

I cut them out on white contact paper.

Then I placed them on the board.

Here's what it looks like hanging up. I'm winning of course :)

I think he will like it, until he realizes how much I better I am than him.

Haha, I kid, I kid! :)

Changing Blogger Login Email

This took me forever to figure out, so I thought I would post it on my blog just in case anyone else was having problems with this too.

So, when I created my blogger account I used a hotmail email account that I already had, let's call it "account@hotmail.com"

After blogging for a little bit, I decided that I would rather have an email account just for blogging. I created michelle.craftsandcrap@gmail.com

Now here was my problem. I would be logged onto my blog under my hotmail account doing something. I would need to go to my email, in which I would have to log out of google under my account@hotmail.com and log into michelle.craftsandcrap@gmail.com. Then I would need to go back to my blog, which would make me log out and back in again.

Basically, I was looking for a way to avoid all this logging in and out and in and out. Believe me it was happening a LOT!

Here is what I did.

1. I signed into my account@hotmail.com account in blogger.
2. I went to my dashboard and I clicked on the "Settings" tab, and then clicked on the "Permissions" tab.
3. I added michelle.craftsandcrap@gmail.com as an author by clicking on the blue box that says "Add Author."
4. I logged out of my account@hotmail.com through google and logged on to my michelle.craftsandcrap@gmail.com account.
5. In my email, I accepted the request to become an author.
6. I logged back out of michelle.craftsandcrap@hotmail.com and back into account@hotmail.com.
7. I went back to my Dashboard and back to the "Settings" tab and then to "Permissions." I gave michelle.craftsandcrap@gmail.com "admin status" and deleted myself (account@hotmail.com) as an author.

*Note: All of this was done through two accounts, my hotmail blogger account, and my gmail craftsandcrap account. So basically I was in Google the entire time, just logging in and out of two accounts.*

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

It's not too often that I know what I am doing when it comes to blogging, so when I figure something out, I love to share it :)

Scrappy Saturday #4

This Saturday's scrapbook layout is another oldie from 2008.

My brother got married in June of 2008.
I ended up getting some really cute pictures from the rehearsal dinner.
 Here they are...

The blonde is my little sister, Haley, and the curly hair girl is my roommate from college, Kerby.
All three of us were bridesmaids in the wedding.

These are all pictures of myself with each member of my family.
( My sister and I, my dad and I, my mom and I, and my brother and I.)
The photo of my sister and I is one of my favorites!
