Sticker Organization

I used to keep my stickers in a 12 x 12 plastic drawer storage thing.  I had them separated into 3 categories:  alphabet, holiday/occasion, and miscellaneous.

This organizational system didn't work for me.  The drawers were so full that whenever I needed something, I ended up dumping the entire drawer trying to find it.  Which resulted in me shoving things back in, wrinkled and folded stickers, really just a mess.  I am organized, but messy!

I decided to buy a couple 3 inch binders and try out this method.  I still need to create labels for the outside of the binders, I just haven't gotten that far yet.

I created my own tab dividers and used my cricut pens to label each of them.  They are hard to read in this photo, but easy to read in person.

The categories I used were:

Winter/Christmas
Halloween
Valentine's Day
Spring/Easter
Thanksgiving/Fall
Independence Day
Wedding/Love
Birthday
Summer/Beach
Baby/Kids
Alphabet/Numbers
Holiday Alphabet
Words/Phrases
Pets/Animals
Sports
Food/Drinks
Girly
School
Miscellaneous

I used double sided tape to tape sticker packages to sheets of white printer paper.  I got this printer paper for $0.01 at Staples!!!  A whole ream for a penny!  Seriously, I love Staples!

I then slid the papers into clear page protectors.  These can be really expensive, but I found them at a local emporium for $1.00 per pkg.  I put two sheets of paper in each page protector (one facing each way).

They are a little bulky and full, but they are so easy to use.  I slide the sheet of paper out, use the stickers I need, and slide the sheet back in.

Someday when I have a larger space, they will have a nice shelf to sit on.  Right now, they sit on my work space and I move them when I need the extra space.

  2. Hi I just found your blog via the Decorate and Organize Everything website. This binder idea is genius. And it's so much more affordable than one of those things that you clip your sticker sheets to. That thing that spins...you know what I mean?

Anyhow, I already have binders and protective sheet covers. I might start this today!

    Thanks for the idea!

  5. I thought this was a great idea too. I started my process today & was quickly stumped. HA! I have a lot of loose ephemera that matches my sticker sheets. What on earth did you do with these? It seems a little hap-hazard to just dump them into the clear sheet protector. Thoughts? Ideas? Thanks:)

  7. For the loose stickers, try the clear page protectors like the ones used for baseball cards

  8. So glad I found this on Pinterest!
My current system is not really working anymore, as I just may have too many.
I have them divided by holiday, occasion/event, alpha/number, season, animals, and even a bit more than that. They are all in plastic bags, inside of a 6 drawer filing cabinet. Each drawer being full. Every time I want to use one, it still takes a while to find the one I want and I still end up making a mess in the process. That’s the part I don’t like.

  9. When you want to use a sticker do you have to release the sticker page from the tape?

  10. Are your page protectors 8 1/2 X 11 or 12X12?

  11. I love that you taped the sticker sheets to a piece of paper! I feel like that must be easier than trying to get a sticker sheet to go back in. You also wouldn't have to worry about a sticker coming off or wrinkling since the paper would form a border to protect the sticker sheet.
