"Big 'ol Pot" of Ham and Beans

This is not at all craft related...but it made me laugh...

I love my dad, and sometimes the things he does just makes me smile and shake my head.

He exaggerates and goes overboard with most things he does.  For example, at our local grocery store they often have 10 for $10 sales.  Now, we have explained to him several times that you don't have to buy 10.  You can just buy a couple, and its still just a dollar per item.  But no, not my dad.  Last time he went to the store he came home with 10 bags of macaroni shells cause the sign said 10 for $10!  (...and wanted to go back for even more!)

So, my dad also thinks he is a "rancher."  He has some cows which he calls his herd and gives them crazy names.  Then, when we are eating them, calls them by their name.  Like, "Dad, What's for supper."  and he replies, "Marge (steak) on the grill and baked potatoes."

Needless to say, its never dull with my dad around.

Well, recently we had a hog and a cow butchered (cause he's a rancher, you know).  He was so excited about the hog because he was going to make himself a "big 'ol pot" of ham and beans.

Now remember how I said that my dad tends to go overboard with things....

...case and point.
This made me laugh this morning, so I thought I would share it with you.

When he said, a "big 'ol pot,"  I shouldn't have expected anything less.
